Fisher Price Little People Toys for Children, Babies,Toddlers and Kids
Healthily addicted to Little People!
My 3 year old grandson has an addiction right now - but at least it seems to be a healthy one so far. Little People toys have invaded his life and most of his play time seems to be revolved around the cute little characters with the smiling faces and chubby bodies.
It's odd, but for some reason I don't remember Little People toys when my sons were growing up. Now that Little People have invaded Grandmas house though, many people my sons age are taking trips down memory lane regaling me of their own Little People childhood stories. It's rather cute to see these 20 - somethings talking about their Little People tribe - how much fun they had with them growing up, what sets they had and what characters they owned.
Which tells me these are great toys. Toys that I want my grandson to also fondly remember 20 years from now.
(And as an interesting side note: I just found out that Little People have been around for over 50 years - apparently I was too busy playing with something else when I was a kid)

How Little People accidentally got into my house
The first Little People toy I got for my grandson was strictly by accident - I picked up a cute little truck for Christmas for him one year and noticed he gravitated towards that one truck. Then at the flea market one day, I ran across a vendor that sold nothing but new and vintage Fisher Price toys - and most of her inventory was Little People. It was then I realized I had inadvertently introduced Zach to the world of Little People (his little truck was there for sale)
It was at that flea market that I bought Zach 10 random Little People (just because they were cute) - and these went on to be his favorite toys when he came to Grandmas house.
He lines them up, has arguments with them, talks to them and puts them in various situations around the house. He and I even have Little People "discussions" - and our Little People talk about the day, pre-school and what they did that day (yeah I know I'm hooked too now)
Little People come in various sets - there are animals, roadways and a whole host of Little People gear available for toddlers and children. Their bright colors and friendly faces are very cute and winning. Absolutely priceless toys for kids!
His latest toy - the BIG Little People garage
My latest Little People toy for Zach is the Little People garage. It stands about 2 feet tall and is very sturdy, bright and well made. It was also very easy to put together (his mom did that part and pretty fast I might add) I ordered the garage from Amazon and shipping was free and I got it within a week. Zach has not seen it yet - I can't wait to see his eyes bug out when he comes to Grandmas on Friday! I have no doubt that the garage will be a big hit as all of his Little People toys have been so far (and BTW-they even have Little People DVD'S, imagine that!)
Zach loves watching the Little People come to life on the screen, and the thing I really like about the Little People stories is that they have nice lessons to teach kids about sharing, being kind and making friends. Things that we can all appreciate our children and grandchildren learning!
