ORIGINAL ARTICLE:
On the eve of our American Thanksgiving my prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to the people of Mumbai India who are at this moment besieged by multiple terrorist attacks going on in their city. As I was preparing my home for a Thanksgiving feast, I happened to check the news and see the utter devastation and chaos going on in the city of Mumbai.
Several targets have been hit by terrorist attacks, and it is not yet known who is responsible for this calculated series of terrorist attacks.
Watching the live streaming video , I couldn't help but be reminded of 911 and the ensuing chaos. Not knowing who is behind these things, and not knowing why it is happening certainly destroys our sense of security and calm in the world. As of this time they apparently have some suspects in custody, so hopefully we should be hearing more about the responsible parties soon.
Being so early in the attacks, it is unclear exactly how many people have died so far, but the number is heading towards 100 with many injured.
There are reports of hostages being held, and that American citizens may have been targeted as hostages but reports are sketchy still.

Countrywomen, I have many Indian friends, and I'm so tired of all these horrible acts being commited for only God knows why. God wants us to love one another, and this is just sickening to see stuff like this going on and on. I know the world will never be at peace in this age, by my gosh can't we just try?
I too am really wondering at the reasonings behind these attacks. I read in a forum a few days ago that something big was going to happen and that it wasn't going to be in America- that it would be on foreign soil. I gotta dig that back up and see who posted that and where it came from.

Dorsi- I agree with you totally. We have enough religions in the world to divide each other but not enough to love each other. Yes we can try our best to weed out the seeds of hatred/fear wherever they are to be seen. Have you heard about that antichrist hub? Have you heard about two assasination attempts already on Obama.
We don't want any more terrorist acts against any individual/society or nation. Yes I would like to know that link if you do find it. May we find peace in these troubled economic times.
These Terrorists need to be taught a lesson. I wist I was the president. Our politicians seem to be just politicians.
That was a quick update Dorsi. Bombay is one of the world's 'survivor' cities - through heat, dust, the influx of crowds, floods - it keeps going. It's also been one of the most cosmopolitan - everyone reaches out a helping hand to everyone in times of trouble. I wonder though, how much longer that will last - like everywhere else, the aim is to divide rather than bring together - cry, my beloved city :(
Hi dorsi, you are so fast.......but it was very sad to hear about mumbai. it is very pathetic that due to very few people we have a suffer a lot. I wish i could kill those bastered millitants..........
It is really a very sad and tense situation we have here at Mumbai. With terrorists targetting high profile Hotels like the Taj and the CST station which is always crowded this looks like a well planned attack. What is more worrying about the situation is that the terrorists are out to cause damage and have not made any demands so far.I was at Churchgate very near to to Taj and CST station yesterday when this happened.
This act of Terrorism is so sickening and I guess they are trying to create an impression that India is an unsafe place in general and for foreign nationals to come and have business with.

Dorsi,we have seen many terrorist attacks in our country,but nothing like this.Peace in our times seems like a delusion but we do have our hopes and prayers inside us which no terrorist can take away.Miracles do happen and let us hope and pray for a miracle for the whole world!

I have seen the Kasab's interview where he is saying "BHAGWAAN MUJHE KABHI MAAF NAHIN KAREGA" you can you tube it.. So if he was not Muslim Pakistani then who was he? I this is some thing India media never highlighted, and there were too much doubts how this whole thing was folded..I believe that these attacks were all drama.

Dorsi- That was a quick turnaround in publishing a hub about this terrible act. They are still investigating from all angles about the motive for these blasts. You are right it could be upcoming thanksgiving holidays in US that they targetted those places where foreigners hang out mostly. I pray for all those impacted by this horrific act.
