The Crow And The Kitten- an Unusual Pet Story

I don't usually build a story around a video, but this unusual story of the friendship between a crow and a kitten is just so amazing that it begs to be written about.

We've all heard the cute pet stories of cats and same gender animals becoming friends and playmates, but what's more unusual is to see a friendship between animals that are supposed to be mortal enemies. I had seen this video of the love story between a kitten and a crow awhile back, but today a friend of mine forwarded it to me and it made me smile as much if not more than as the original time I first saw it.

Without further ado please take a few minutes to watch this incredible story about the friendship between 2 animals that defies all conventional wisdom!

A Must See Video

The Crow and the Kitten

The crow made sure that the kitten was fed daily
The crow made sure that the kitten was fed daily

Love Conquers All!

I hope this video made you smile today- I know it did me.........

It takes me back to the basics of life- LOVE- and how love can break down many barriers- even barriers that look like they should never be broken.

Although this is one of my shorter hubs, there is just not much to add to this incredible story except to say "Love Conquers All!"

The Crow and the Kitten- Best Friends!

The crow and the kitten are best friends, and hang out together, eat together and play together
The crow and the kitten are best friends, and hang out together, eat together and play together

The Kitten and the Crow- Playing Together

Who would think that a crow and a kitten would not only get along but be best friends?

Amazing video Dorsi. I saw a piece a film with a lion embracing a woman who had save its life, and then - even more extraordinary - a Great White Shark who was in love with a fisherman who had saved it from a net and who followed his boat around everywhere, and my guess is that something similar has happened here. Whatever it was, it's very touching. Thanks for that.

It's just love. Wow!!!

When I was growing up, there was always a lot "pets" in the house; growing up together, playing, becoming friends, protecting each other: Dogs & cats - of course, a rabbit, a rat, birds, all friends, running around the house, chasing each other. A visitor would be sitting there talking and suddenly this big german shephard would run by, being chased by a black & white rabbit. The expression on the visitor's face was always priceless.

Animals that grow up together - even "natural enemies" - will always be friends.

Great hub!

The greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. I feel you have summed this up very nicely.

I loved it...words fail me when saying how remarkable that story is. Doesn't the bible say something about 'when the lion lays down with the lamb?' in the new Jerusalem? Thanks for sharing it with everyone!

Great hub Short but absolutely on the mark. I guess animals can teach us so-called civilsed people how to get on. It seems that love in all its forms conquers All! Fanastic video.

Dorsi,

I had a dog who carried my cat around by the head. Not by the nap of his neck. Entire head in mouth. People use to call and tell me my dog was killing the cat. I always laughed because the dog was on a chain and the cat did not ever have to go up and get his head inside the dogs big mouth. They just loved each other, suppose to be arch enemies....Maybe there is still hope for us human types, Ah? Thank you for sharing this it is inspiring and heartwarming, lions and lambs! C.S.

Excellent Hub, it is truly extraordinary the way that animals often bond with each other despite the stereotype.

I had a cat, who had a friend, this friend would come down every morning and stand in the grass behind our back wall, waiting for "MaCavity" my cat. He would come out and jump onto the shoulder and settle down on the back of an 'Afrikaaner' bull, an Afrikaaner is a very long horned breed of cattle particular to South Africa, they are tough hard and have a very mean streak in them, cat in place, between the large hump and paws resting happily on its head.

This was an everyday occurrence for many many months. MaCavity died a natural death, and for a couple of days the bull woyld be there, calling out and then moved on.

I was certainly glad to see this story. The crow recognized a youngster in need and then filled that need and made a lifelong friend. It says something about what is possible when peer pressure of the larger group is taken away, doesn't it?

Oh this story is darling and filled with love. Ya know, I have never heard about this story before or seen the video and this family lives a few towns over from me. From now on I'm going to be on the lookout for Moses and Cassie when I pass through their town of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Thank you Dorsi for sharing.

I sat down at the computer one morning feeling in the mood for a touching story.I was feeling a little down at the time and needed a pick me up.I had previously been sent a story about an eagle I just loved. So I just started typing the words unlikely relationships between animals.I felt guided and when I came upon this story ,I started to get tears. It was truly a beautiful love story! It reminds me how evolved some animals are.I now pass it on to friends as one of the greatest animal stories ever. Thank you!!
