Review of the RCA EZ Small Wonder Camcorder and Video Camera
The RCA Small Wonder Camcorders
Last night at my daughter-in-laws baby shower I had a blast using my new camcorder - The RCA EZ 217 Small Wonder Camcorder. Just days ago I got my new camcorder and within minutes was up and recording video, no small feat for this technology challenged gal. I have my share of gadgets that I have seemed to have mastered in this Internet age, but taking video was a challenge that I had been lagging on up until this time.
Before the RCA Small Wonder camcorder, my video exploits had been limited to short grainy cell recordings or cumbersome camcorder recordings that were difficult if not impossible for me to sync with YouTube or my social networking sites.
I Needed an Easy to Use Camcorder!
I had purchased a small camcorder prior to the RCA Small Wonder but found it hard to master the buttons and the uploading features. Looking for a camcorder that would be easy to carry around, easy to record and easy to upload, I decided to give the Small Wonder a shot (excuse the pun)
Although the reviews were not 5 star, after reading the basics I decided that this camcorder would be a good one for me to try, and I am not disappointed. The RCA EZ 217 is the latest in the family of Small Wonder camcorders by RCA. I was not looking for a really high resolution camcorder - I wanted something easy to use and easy to upload and the Small Wonder has not disappointed me. Within minutes of unpacking this cute little camcorder I was recording video, recording myself and taking still pictures of my fur babies. The camcorder also has a cord to hook up to your HD TV where you can watch your video (I haven't done this yet) It also has a USB cord to hook up to your PC where you can upload videos easily to YouTube or your email (I did this easily and am having a blast with this feature!) I have also sat down and took recordings of myself (gonna wait till the makeups on to post these ones though) There is also a nice set of software included with the RCA Small Wonder with which you can design, edit and do all kids of cool things with your pics and video recordings.
I Only Paid $79 for the Small Wonder Camcorder
One of the main reasons I got the RCA Small Wonder camcorder was because I wanted something easy that I could pull out and catch videos of my grandson with (he just started walking) Knowing myself, I knew I needed something easy that would fit in my purse or pocket, and the Small Wonder is perfect for that. It's about the size of a cell phone, it's easy to hold and the recording functions are pretty idiot proof (just a few buttons which suits me just fine)
If you are looking for a small reasonable camcorder to catch those everyday moments I highly recommend the RCA Small Wonder camcorder. If you are looking for a camcorder that takes professional video this probably wouldn't be the one for you, but if you want a camcorder that's easy and fun to use the RCA Small camcorder won't disappoint!! I love mine!! My family loves me for it (although they are also slightly afraid now - they never know when I will catch them on video!!)
