White Stag - If it was good enough for Mom- it's good enough for me!
Walmart has one of the best kept secret of women's clothing lurking in their aisles - the White Stag Women's clothing line. Growing up with a mom that religiously bought White Stag clothes, I can remember my mothers steadfast love of the durable - long-lasting clothes that have always been a trademark of the White Stag line.
I remember going shopping with my mom at the Navy PX in the 60's,70's and 80's, where White Stag was a familiar tag in the women's department. My mother would buy several of the blouses or pants that she liked, often in multiple colors and duplicates because she loved the clothes so much. Years later it was quite a surprise to me when I was shopping at a local Walmart and found a rack of White Stag clothing for sale. It had been so many years since I had seen the clothing that I had no idea they were still around. I bought some pants and blouses that day because I liked the styles and the way the clothes fit me. I also felt good that I was carrying on a legacy for smart clothes shopping that my mother would have appreciated.

White Stag - Quality Clothing at a Good Price
Decidedly curious about my new purchases, I decided to check out those first purchases of mine from Walmart and see if the clothing held up the way my mothers used to. After a few washes and wearings I was not disappointed. My White Stag clothing still looked dang good, retaining its color and retaining its shape (as all you ladies know how important that is!) I was happy as a clam to realize that the same White Stag standards that applied to my mothers clothing then still applied to mine today ...White Stag was still a maker of top quality clothes. And honestly to find them at Walmart was really a little shocking - I had always thought of the White Stag line as a little pricey back in the day (they were often found at boutiques and higher priced stores) Upon doing some research though I found out that Walmart acquired the line back in 2003 (smart move on Walmarts part!) and now they are even selling an expanded line of White Stag.

Walmart Sells White Stag Womens's Clothing Today
The other day I went shopping at Walmart for some new spring/summer clothes. And you wanna know the funny part ? Without even realizing it every piece of clothing I bought that day was from the White Stag women's clothing line. For under a $100 it's pretty hard to believe the value I got - 6 cable knit blouses in various colors, 5 casual tops, and 4 tank tops. All mix and match, clothes that I can wear to work as well as everyday.
I would have also bought the adorable dragon fly pants by White Stag too but unfortunately they didn't have my size. And by the way, sizing with White stag is reliable. If you are a size 10, you can pretty much count the clothing to be a true size 10 (not like some manufacturers which sizes can run too small or too large) I was also really impressed with the hot new colors that the new spring/summer line has (dragonflies are in apparently in this season) White Stag woman's clothing tends to be simple clothing, you won't find lots of patterns or jangles but for quality, long lasting clothing you won't be disappointed! I know my mother is smiling down at me for making some wise clothing choices the other day!

Thanks Hello Hello for stopping by. Yes, that's a good way to describe White Stag clothing - as "tasteful". My mom had very good taste in clothes so hopefully I've picked up some of her good clothes sense...lol!!
Unfortunately Walmart is no longer carrying White Stag.
Does anyone know where else you can purchase this line or how to contact the manufacturer? I can't find any info on the internet for the company so any info would be helpful.
Marlene) Go to www.walmart.com and search White Stag. Walmart still carries the line but not at all stores. You can also but white stag clothing online through the Walmart site.
Wal Marts line of what is left of White Stag is a big joke as are the other websites that advertise they have this apparel. I want to know where one can purchase the White Stag Plus Shorts (w/drawstrings, the crinkle material capri's) cause I can't locate on Ebay, amazon, yahoo. or anywhere else Google has sent me. When they took over Bobbie Brooks I was anxious and now I am completely pissed off!
Carol Mc) Sorry you are having trouble finding those particular shorts. The only advice I can give you is just keep googling and maybe you will find an outlet. The only place I know of that carries White Stag clothing is Walmart, and of course you can find vintage White Stag at EBay and perhaps some new pieces there. Good luck.
walmart last year carried wonderful White Stag shorts and wonderful colorful tees for women. Not this year and I am so careful that they do not wear out. No shrinkage and no ironing. I wear the cotton elastic and pocketed shorts everyday in Palm Springs 100 degree weather. Help,HELP

To susan Kulson, I agree about thw White Stag shorts. Elastic waist, two side pockets and can't find them anywhere11 I only have three pairs. How RUDE of Walmart. I don't know your size, but MY frame does NOT wear jersey!!!

for years my daughter and i bought the strech jeans from walmart but havent been able to find any now for the past year the ones they sell now seem to be a leging instead of the straight strech jeans please bring them back .its all we ever wear my friend also are looking for them please dont change the style strech stright leg jeans from white stage so perpect for heavy woman , and senior citzen , we dont like bells at our age ,this pants make us look so much thinner but the legging ones you have now in jeans are way to tight looking for us , please bring them back please .

I have been to 3 WALMART's in Minnesota looking for the plus size in White Stag tops that I have bought in the past. Only to find JMS tops instead.The White Stag tops are not in plus sized women's. I'm trying to find out what store I can buy them at now.

By the way, Bobbie Brooks can be found at Dollar General. I still like and buy that line, too. I guess it is what you grow up with. I like Jantzen swimwear, too.

I just read that the White Stag name now belongs to Wal-Mart; please go back to those tops and jeans in the large sizes. They fit better and looked better than the JMS you now have. Why would you drop a good line from your inventory.
I also loved the Jerzees cotton or cotton blend fleece. Another favorite I can no longer find at Wal-Mart.
I have to shop elsewhere! Please bring them back.

I love white stag. I had bought a skirt, actually two in different colors, in 1999 and they still look good. Very durable clothing. I am looking for more of these skirts as I have lost some weight, but dont want to part from them. Most likely they don't make this style anymore, but I am hoping.

I have been very disappointed that Walmart has virtually discontinued the White Stag line. I have bought jeans, capris, and shirts there that are stylish. Now, I find very little in White Stag. I need some new jeans and all I can find are leggings. Middle age and older ladies need clothes, too!

I can be a loyal person when it comes to shopping.White Stag does offer some nice apparel at a reasonable cost. I hate to say this but I'm a bit irritated at them right now. I've bought some really nice looking tops in the past 2 months for work and the material is AWFUL!!The pants catch every bit of lint, the tops are poorly made and will create balls during washing. I've recently taken them to the cleaners and have the same problem. We work too hard for our money and to have this occur is maddening. So until they SHAPE UP--they're shipping out!
Harriet) I found similar problems with some White Stag tops I bought last year. They shrank alot and I was very disappointed. I am worried that perhaps the brand is starting to use cheaper material, and if so, they will lose lots of loyal customers. Let's hope they are listening!
Bring back white stag plus sizes..we plus size women love them. Great look and wear great..I shop at walmart at least 5 times a week I would like to see white stag back....

I am along with allof ya'll, I loved Whits Stag, I stillhave 4 pair of their crop pants but they are getting worn, 3 -4 yr old!! Still look good but this yr may be the last. WALMART made a hugh mistake when they went to ONLY JMS for women size patrons. IT SUCKS< CHEEEEPPP crap, I hane not bought clothing @ Walmart going on 3 yrs, so they lost my business as far as cloting is concerned. If I find anything thing I will let you all know....jodi

I also want White Stag--years ago, my Walmart in Jackson, California carried a full line, including dresses. What happened? I think Walmart should at least tell customers what is going on--that would be a simple courtesy.

Cannot find any White Stag blue denim skorts or shorts in low rise with front zipper in 98% cotton & 2% spandex so you have some give in Walmart. Here in Central Florida they carry clothing styles that lean towards the Hispanic women in the area and very few size 8s or 10s of anything. Styles are too girlish and young. Bring back White Stag dark denim skorts low rise in stretchable denim and I will buy a dozen of them. Most of mine are worn out; that is all I wear even to church, very comfortable to wear all day.
Try searching for White Stag clothes online at the Walmart website Mary (good luck finding those)
I bought white stag sandals when out on holiday this year and they are the most comfortable, durable I have ever worn. They have been on my feet every day for the last 5 months! I cannot buy them online from the UK and desperately want to get some for my friends and family, HELP!

I bought some white stag tops at Walmart for a relative in a nursing. They are sized strangely with large being 12-14. They look large for that size. Do they shrink???
